I expected it to turn into a heated debate of whether abortions were an individual right of choice or a violation of protecting the human right of the fetus as these things normally come to be. I believe that the abortion rate really is lower in the South, but I think it's because of what seems (to me) to be much more social pressure from the religious pro-lifers that may be in higher concentration here.
