Wow, we are related, aren't we? I'm a music junkie (you knew this) but I also can't eat without ending up wearing it, I cannot be around crowds (though concerts are a-ok...mine stems from synesthesia meaning I hear in color,) I'm an organizing freak, and I also have a mild form of Aphasia. I suffered a serious head injury my junior year of college when I hit my head on the edge of a wall television mount and knocked myself unconscious. I woke up unable to speak in English and only barely able to communicate in broken German. Fortunately my linguistics prof was not only a research expert in Aphasia but also my German prof. He was able to keep me calm and communicate with me while we waited for the ambulance. It took me a long time to get back to where I could communicate in English properly and even now I forget entire strings of words, my grammar has gone to hell, and I think most frequently in German.

bah, it's meaghan. i think it's an only child thing to be really put off by crowds. concerts aren't the same, but if i go to a bar with more than two other people, i clam up and stare quietly at my hands while wanting to go home.

working for the mentally challenged is a hell of a lot better than working in fast food because oddly enough, they're capable of treating you more like a human being than your average burger-nosher.
