Take a large sock....largest one you have in the house, and fill it with rice...once it's plump full tie a knot in it and stick in the microwave and heat until it's just short of catching on fire....after you take it out....place it in the particular spot where your pain is. This is, of course, is to be added on with the heating pad, pain killers, and the tired but true, icey-hot.
All of this is to be thrown out the window if you have a hot tub.

I don't think my dad would appreciate me taking his sock (and they stink and are holey, so I wouldn't want to anyway). And we can't waste the rice.
But thanks for the advice! We have a heating pad, so I will definitely be making some good use out of that ;)
No icey-hot though. I've heard some painful stories about that...
