2011 has started oh so wonderfully.
We have gotten new neighbours (again). They are a couple, about 19years old and horrid. The girl is pregnant and the guy has serious anger management problems. A few weeks ago, they got into a huge row in the front yard. He hit her and called her a slut and whore. He also repeatedly slammed the car door and broke it and smashed the house's front window. She was screaming and crying and yelling at him to stop.
Talk about a nightmare. We talked to the police about it, but until it happens again, there is nothing they can do.
This wasn't the first time that they had caused issues. the have a fighting dog (like a rottweiler) that they leave in the front yard alot, without closing the gate. It attacked our dog not long ago, and we told them to keep the dog locked up-they ignored us.
The couple rents the house, but the actual owner never answers his phone and ignores any complaints. The entire street want them gone.
This used to be a nice street until the brats moved in. There are two houses like that. The lady up the road calls them the 'fucking P Plater's', based on the fact that both houses are rented by high school drop outs with P Plates on their cars. They both have a bad habit of having fights, parties and getting drunk at 1am, when the rest of the street is fast asleep.
My mum's partner moved in a little over a year ago. He is nice enough, but our personalities clash somewhat. He is also somewhat lazy and assumes mum will do everything. And mum's acts totally out of character around him, all demur and like a stepford housewife. She even admits that her behaviour is off around him.
Recently, the problems have been minor, but growing. His kids never took care of my dvd collection, so I told them that they couldn't use them. Mum's partner, N, basically accused me of being selfish because I lend them to my friends, but not his kids. I told him straight out that if his kids didn't act like self-entitled slobs, then they could borrow my stuff. We agreed to disagree. Mum lends them her dvds, and yesterday I pointed out to mum that some of her dvds where missing and we couldn't find certain dvd cases. Point to my opinion.
I had to scrub the fridge out yesterday because his copious amounts of soft drinks has leaked and left stains. He couldn't be bothered to clean them up while they were still fresh.
However, the most recent major problem is my room. I am getting my room re-painted for the first time in almost ten years. I have colour samples and a friend of mine is doing the design I wanted on one wall. N is still certain that I want my room matte black...I don't want my room all balck because that would make my room seem a lot smaller than it is. Then N got huffy because I'd asked my friend to do the sketch and painting of the design itself.
On the happier note, I've got a new in-built wardrobe, so I can fianlly fit my things in there! I'm also starting up my second year of uni soon. I'm looking forward to the Psychology classes!
