But remember that "cheap gas" is sometimes gasohol, and some cars don't do well on it. My car, for example, required very costly repairs after using gasohol for several months. I have to get the good stuff and buy gas from Chevron because paying an extra dollar per tank (and yes, this is what it comes to - an extra dollar, because ten cents a gallon difference for ten gallons is only a dollar - to avoid getting my car's engine overhauled again is worth it, to me.
Very true. But sometimes it's a matter of same type of gas station, same type of gas, vastly different price at the pump depending on where in town you're getting your tank filled.
There's a couple of gas stations by my work, for instance, that are ten cents a gallon more expensive than their exact same counterparts just a short way down the road.
