Does your local library have an interlibrary loan system? I know some places don't, and sometimes there's a charge involved, but I try out books mostly through the loan system, and even if there were a small charge, it would be less expensive than buying the books, for me. Although you'd said your library had hours that made it hard for you to use them, IIRC.

ILL is a great idea. I should check into that.

The hours for our library are just inconvenient (& I'm not saving money if I spend for the round trip bus fare to the main branches. If I happen to be there, fine, but the books will have due dates ;b ) They only seem to be open when I'm at work.

Ohh, thanks for the information. The idea of having to send books back together turns me off, as well.

Thanks for keeping us informed!
