I had a really great weekend, having not set so much as a toenail on GV's campus!
I think you guys, in living in a way I would like to see myself living someday and valuing a lot of the things I value, keep me more chilled out than I usually am. Playing soccar and hanging out while Mariam and Iski were over, all because I'm not a full time student, offers a lovely sense of perspective.

ps, you really must come visit the rats soon in their new house. it's too bad it got so late last night, I even vacumed because I thought you were coming and I didn't want you making any cracks about pet dust-bunnies!

well that's just funny. Right now i'm actually trying to become more like you, and try and spend my time towards school. But i find it hard to want to do work. And i actually mean that comment to be that lazy.

But i get a lot of energy being around other people, so that's actually why i want this whole community thing. So i stay energized about things. Over the weekend we actually cooked pumpkins from the garden, made pear sauce from our trees, and cleaned up the house. All things which make the house pleasant to be in.

Yes i need to see the rats.

you cooked pumpkins? how'd they turn out?
I've always thought that was a good idea, but counter-intuitive because we all know the highest aspiration of the pumpkin is to be carved into a sweet and bodacious jack-o-lantern!

by the by, did you know that if you don't hit the "reply to this" thing, your reply to my comment won't come to my e-mail and i won't know you posted it unless I come back to the entry and check?

yes, we have a pumpkin for carving, the others are what i would consider too small to carve, but you probably could. I made this pumpkin mixture with just margarine added to it, and it tasted gross. But then dan baked some pumpkin pie filling and made whip cream, and that was good, so it was worth it.

And yes i sort of know about the emails, but i don't like viewing livejournal comments in my email because for me, it takes it away from the journal experience. So i like to browse the journal to check up. Of course, maybe you have so many friends and everything, it's more tedious for you. lol, for me it's easy!
