..you get the hospital ride.

Part of the reason why I'm willing to 'risk' a home birth after a c-section. Also, some excellent thoughts on birth plans, and why they don't really help that much.

I thought it was an interesting suggestion, especially since she spends so much time talking about how being antagonistic is generally counterproductive. She mentioned having a few signs made, just in case they 'disappear', so she's probably aware of it. Might be something to do if meds are offered a few times, unasked?

It is aggressive. Perhaps it's due to being in the American system, or in a place where she feels a little embattled protecting normal birth. Or perhaps she's a wacko nutjob. The tone is fairly similar to other birthing blogs that I've read out of the states, though, which is perhaps why I didn't notice that at first. Glad to hear your experience has been different!
