Tutorial#1






Information
Program: Adobe Photoshop CS5
PSD: download

Comment if taking or if you like.

Open up Photoshop, take the picture you want to use.
To see the adjustments window go to "Window » Adjustments"

1- Resize the Image and add some sharpen.  Copy Ctrl+A + Ctrl +C we will need this later.

2- Go to "Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Color Balance" or if you opened the Adjustments window just click on "color balance" And set it to the settings provided below:

Shadows [-9, -1, -26]
Midtones  [0 , +10, -9]
Highlights [+10, 0, -15]



3- Okay now "Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Selective Color".

Selective Color - Custom
Reds: -100, +100, +100, 0
Yellows: -100, +100, +100, 0



Okay I know in this step it looks so reddish but lets erase.

4- Use the Erase Tool and erase in the mask  the parts you want, In my case I wanted her lips red, so basically I erased all except her lips.



5- Paste Ctrl +V and change  the paste layer to Soft Light and set the opacity to 50% Use the erase tool and erase the parts you want.



6- Duplicate the last layer  and change the layer to Screen if you want erase a little more.

7- "Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Selective Color"

Selective Color - Custom
Reds: -100, 0, +100, 0
Yellows: -100, -13, -100, 0
Greens: -100,  0, +100, 0
Cyans: +100, 0, -100, 0
Blues: +100, 0, -100, 0
Magentas: -100, 0, -100, 0
Whites: -32, +1, -20, 0
Neutrals: -4, +3, -14, +11
Blacks: 0, 0, -3, -9



Pretty, right? :D

8- Go to "Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Color Balance"  again and set the settings below:

Midtones: +30, +8, -19



9-  "Layer » New Fill Layer » Solid Color" Color #0B2B1F and change the layer to "EXCLUSION"
Use the Erase tool and set it to this settings : Size 300px Hardness 0% Opacity: 30% Erase.



10-Layer » New Fill Layer » Solid Color" Color #0F2339 and change the layer to "EXCLUSION"
Use the Erase tool and set it to this settings : Size 400px Hardness 0% Opacity: 65% Erase.



11- "Layer » New Fill Layer » Solid Color" Color #1E1206 and change the layer to "HUE"



12- "Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Selective Color"

Selective Color - Custom
Reds: -100, -8, +100, 0
Neutrals: 0, 0, 0, +1
Blacks: 0, 0, 0, -9



Almost done :D

13- "Layer » New Adjustment Layer » Selective Color"

Selective Color - Custom
Reds: -8, +100, +59, 0
Neutrals: -2, +46, -61, +71
Blacks: 0, 0, 0, +100

Congrats You have finished. 8D



As you can see you can use every step as different psd coloring :D
