This is where you sign up to participate.   Sign-up's will end May 31th at 11:59:00 pm EST (-5 GMT).

Community Rules:

1. If you join and request a fic or artwork, you must agree to create a fic or artwork in return. Lurkers are welcome on the comm too, but may not request gifts.
   
   
2. You must have a LiveJournal to participate. Anonymous requests will be deleted.
   
   
3. You cannot choose the person for whom you will write or draw. You will be assigned a challenge via email by the community moderator.
   
   
4. All fics/artwork must be rated no high than R.
   
   
5. All fics must be at least 1,000 words. There is no upper limit as to length.
   
   
6. All fics must be spellchecked and preferably beta read.
   
   
7. In order to preserve anonymity, all fics must be able to stand on their own and not be part of another series or a sequel/prequel to other fics by the same writer.
   
   
8. All fics and art should be e-mailed to the community moderator (
   chouta_angel) at fruity_exchange@yahoo.com for posting. DO NOT post them to the community yourself.  More information about formats will be provided later.
   
   
9. Please do not submit your fic/art until you are completely satisfied with it. Once a fic/artwork is submitted, no revisions will be permitted except for minor changes such as typo corrections or header changes.
   
   
10. The moderator reserves the right to return any fic or artwork for revision if she feels it does not meet quality or rating standards.
    
    
11. You are free to try and guess who created your gift after it has been posted. The identities of all writers/artists will be revealed at the beginning of Septe so you can shower them with your thanks.
    
    
12. All fics and art posted here will be exclusive to the community until the names of the writers/artists have been revealed. Please do not post them elsewhere on the Internet until that time.
    
    
13. If you decide you'd like to participate, post a comment to this message with the following information (and please stick to this format, as it will make things much easier on me if all requests are consistent):
    
    Your LJ user name
    Your email address (mandatory!)
    For the fic/art you want written for you:
    Two-three pairings/friendships you would like to see; two-three characters you would like to see (<- can choose one or the other or both)
    Ideas about what you would like to see in your gift
    Any things you do not want to see in your gift
    For the fic/art you are going to write/draw for someone else:
    Any characters or pairings you refuse to write/draw
    Any taboo subjects you would not like to write/draw (ie, incest, AU, etc.). It will be assumed that you are willing to write/draw anything that is not listed in this section
    
    Some other important stuff you should know:
    Assignments will go out no later than June 5th, 2007. 
    All gifts will be due August 21st, 2007 unless asked for an extension.
    Posting will start September 1st, 2007 and run throughout the month.
    
    If you are planning on participating, please friend this community so you can keep up with any administrative announcements I may make between now and .
    
    Finally, there will probably be some people who drop out of the exchange or who just cannot continue with their fic/art. Therefore, if you are willing to pinch-hit/draw, please let me know when you sign up.
