It... does help to write these. I still miss you terribly, but I like to think that somehow, they're getting through to you. I may not receive an answer, but I can imagine your face after seeing such a letter. It warms my heart, my lady.
There was a ball just recently. I know you've never been one for balls, but they've promised memories and items from our own worlds to those who attended. Naturally, most if not all of the island showed. I hope you wouldn't be upset by it, but in your absence, I asked Arturia to accompany me. She... resembles you a bit too well, I find. I keep looking at her and seeing your features at first.
I obtained a ring from it. I'm not sure what it is, precisely. A birthright, a magical artifact, just a plain ring? I've yet to wear it, after another resident found himself with a ring that set him on fire. After a happening like that, I wish to be sure.

The ball was incredibly awkward quite nice, I found. I see the island has given us at least part of our reward for attending the ball. On the other hand, I don't remember anything new, which appears to be an aberration to everyone else writing. I wonder why some people get memories back immediately while others seem to be delayed.
Good to realize that some things do not change here. Lady Ninian, I see that you've become my co-worker at the library. If you need any assistance getting settled or finding things, please don't hesitate to ask.
I suppose I should have expected this in retrospect. Now that I've recalled everything I knew about magic, it's like I've just... hit a brick wall. I know I shouldn't give up after a bit of difficulty, but everything I've been studying seems obvious now, whereas anything more advanced or studying another world's magic seems to be just out of reach. Then again, I can't say how many other mages have had such a luxury. Studies like this wouldn't fit in my old textbooks.
