So BBC asked its online readers to respond to a prompt about the legacy of slavery. Here is what BBC wrote, and then I'm going to post what is the MOST recommended response, garnering 328 "props" from other readers.

Not to mention the incredible damage done to Africa by Europe over 1870-1970 during imperial efforts and interefering with governments during the cold war. England itself razed large parts parts of South Africa and put people in concentration camps fighting the Boers 1899-1900ish. And that's not exactly an obscure historical event.
