There's a petition to make it as close to the Japanese one as possible, coercing the company not to screw up with dubbing and/or censor any of the satire.

I hope and pray that it won't get all screwy. That would just be so incredibly disappointing.

But on the other hand, if they sell DVD's in English and [as per all anime DVD's I've seen] have those optional Japanese voiceovers with subtitles, I can go and buy them.
._.

Signed! I went on a bit of a rant too, easily one of the longest comments there xD
There are so many things that could go wrong with this... I'm just hoping the bad things will be small and easy to ignore... but if the voices get fucked then this show is pretty much doomed.

Oh gosh I know.
I think I spazzed out a bit too much when I posted the link on dA, though, hahaha.
I just hate the idea that Hetalia could be - ruined by something like this.
Gaaah.

...Do I want them to give the nations awesome/horrible accents.

... DO I REALLY WANT THEM TO DAMMIT.

That...

is all I am torn over about the dub right now. Honestly. ;-;

But yeah, I generally trust Funimation. Until they f&%k up.

Considering that this is a smaller niche, however, I'm not sure which way it'll go (meaning, I'm not sure whether they'll pay fun and close attention to it, or just go for the bland dubbing that many seem to be dreading).

If they pull a Shin-Chan on this though, I'll either be in bliss or bashing my head in from not knowing how to feel. xD

Sincerely, I'm not too worried about it, for some reason. Right now I get the feeling that some of the people Funi were waiting for this one to reel in. Yet, regardless, since Funimation is a business in the middle of this economic flailstorm, I can't boast it with a ton of confidence.

Accents would be awesome... if they found the right voice actors who could actually pull them off. But considering Funi has a stock of about ten core VA's that they regularly wheel out for pretty much /everything/ who frequently use the same voice for each character... *AHEM*Vic Mignona*AHEM*

I'm waiting hesitantly... it could be good, or it could be awful. Most likely it'll just end up mediocre and marginally acceptable, it's just the waiting around that gets to you, ya know?

I think they'll do an alright job in the end, I think they realise that the show has some pretty dedicated (and rather batshit insane) fans and it would be in their best interests to make it good so that we'll buy the merch and DVD's xD
