I'm at fides's house, yay! People're watching Hogfather, but I've seen it before, so paying attention not strictly necessary.

There was lots of porn art yesterday; by the end of the afternoon it was a bit of a case of "pah, just another cock. Seen so many of those today! Show me something more exciting". We were at the Barbican to see the Seduced

It's tolerably close to the original from what I remember, although there were a few things missed out. The book is actually one of my favourites of Pratchett's writings - it's surprisingly dark and creepy for much of the story. (Not quite as dark as Night Watch, but still some nice nightmare fuel.)

I loved Pratchett when I was younger too, but stopped reading them by the time I was about fourteen or so; I watched Hogfather when it was first aired, and I don't think it's that bad for an adaption. It's been yonks and yonks since I read the book, though, so I have no idea how much of it was cut out! I've been semi-pondering reading all of the ones he's written since then, but I don't know if I've grown out of them too much to enjoy them. :)

Pratchett has his moments. It's worth reading some of his stuff just to give it a go. :) I have a *heap* of books by him, so I could probably dig around and lend you some when I'm down. I'd stopped reading them by the time you met me, I think, but I was hugely addicted right up until my gcses.
