Summary: With touring and shows and studio sessions, Selena and Demi have gone months without seeing each other. To make things complicated, Selena realizes she's in love.
Note: Boy, this one was a doozy. College and real life didn't help matters.

Oh my gosh. This part:

“I’m not the kind of girl who would let go of a friendship because of...whatever this is. I’m just the kind of girl who doesn’t appreciate it when her friend is acting really shitty. Every time I’m willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, you make me regret it. You can stand here and act like you’re having a horrible time away from me, and trying to figure whatever this is out, but when there are pictures of you out there having fun and having sleepovers and acting like I don’t even exist, it’s hard for me to believe you. So, please, stop acting like you’re having trouble with this beyond it being inconvenient.”

Was so hard to read. It seems like every fight-type thing I had with my friend/girlfriend/ex-girlfriend. But it was so real.

And oh my, this story is just fantastic. Really, it is.

Yeah. I really wanted to make sure I drove that point home, because Selena doesn't strike me as the kind of girl who would intentionally let the whole, nonreciprocated-love thing ruin a friendship, but would certainly stand up for herself when Demi's acting less than stellar. (I actually like to think that that's probably what's going on between them right now, irl, too.)
