DOOM 3 scares the crap out of me.

Eternal Darkness was pretty creepy. This is much much worse. I have to play it with bright lights on and with happy music in the background. Perhaps it's more creepy to be blasting Zombie Hell-Martians to 50's acapella music, but it's the only way it's happening. In short though: It's very pretty, and not cliche

Sorry Nick, crap framerate is what you get with a 5200... :(
even a ti4200 is better than a 5200, but try turning everything down in the Doom 3 settings, you don't really need them on for it to look good:

turn the settings to "low", then go to advanced settings and turn it everything to "no" and AA to "off", BUT leave v-sync "on"

you could try overclocking the 5200, they overclock fairly well, but it's risky, don't expect much out of it, and it voids your warrenty

if you really want to play Doom 3 well, get a new graphics card, otherwise just do what I suggested and upgrade later, especially when HL2 comes out, lol

yeah Doom 3 scares the shit out of me, but that's about it, I would give it a 85-90% while Far Cry would get 92% or so and Half-Life, even today after I played it through 3-4 times, a 96%.

I've gotten to the point where I just look around and expect something when I enter a new room in Doom 3, no surprises anymore, just expectation.

oh, forgot to mention, just go with those setting and turn the resolution lower and lower until you can make it playable, my guess is that it will reach that point at 800X600

Thank you sir. Any videocard suggestions? I know nothing of computer cards or overclocking. I really don't know where to begin.
