That's a pretty scary prospect!

I agree that it was a rather patchy and confusing show, but I think the majority of the difficulty was in the last-minute rewrites necessary after Jenna Coleman decided to stay on with the show for a bit longer. Rather than having her die at the end of the show (or go to "be with Danny"), they had to figure out a way to keep her in the show without scrapping too much of what they'd already filmed.

I felt the whole thing was poorly organized and confusing, but there were small gems here and there. Of course, watching the special immediately after the "Death in Heaven" episode only made the dissonance worse.

Right, I understood that. However, leaving the tangerine on the windowsill right at the end was unnecessary to that particular point.
