The doctor said i have the flu, but he gave me antiboitics for that.....a flu is a virus.....o well, probebly not telling me that if the medicine doesent work ill end up dieing

Congratulations for knowing that antibiotics don't work on viruses. This puts you ahead of a significant portion of the American population. ;) I suspect your doc is wanting to cover his bases, since there is actually one ailment (at least) that is caused by a bacterium yet has symptoms similar to the flu. Odds that you've got it are pretty slim, but if he prescribed Cipro or its generic equivalent, I would definitely go ahead and take them just in case
