It seems the people of Hardin were so desperate for jobs that they spent 27 million to build a prison in hopes of attracting prisoners from overcrowded locations elseway. This was their plan to start making money for the community. Hardin, Montana's prison has been sitting empty since they finished building it in in 2007, and while the offer to take the Guantanimo prisoners was made, the city's 3400 residents are by no means in agreement that this should be the case.
Not exactly a viable option. Are the others any better prospects?
