summary: Set sometime when they were younger and evil. Yuuta tries to understand boys on Girl's Day.

"It's Girl's Day." Yuuta said quite clearly as Fuji and Saeki rooted through his closet, tossing out a shirt or a pair of shorts every so often, or conferring with one another over a certain piece of clothing. "That means it's a day for girls."
"Yes Yuuta, we know." Syuusuke said, head still buried in the closet, which made his words come out a little muffled.
"So what are you doing then?" Yuuta asked, swinging his legs and hitting the side of his bed. He thought he heard his brother sigh.
"Ah! I found it!" Saeki shouted, holding out a child-sized guitar from once upon a time when Yuuta had insisted he wanted to learn to play.
"And I have a fan from Yumiko-neesan," Syuusuke said, pulling it out of his pocket and opening it in one swift movement, fluttering his eyelashes as he swept the fan across his face.
"What are you doing?" Yuuta asked, and was met with twin glares.
"Just get changed into these," Syuusuke said as Saeki pushed some clothes into Yuuta's hands. They looked suspiciously like they had come from one of Yumiko's old dolls, but she was far too old to have any of them laying around the house anymore, so he swept the thought away.
"Oh, look at you two!" Their mother said as Syuusuke and Saeki came down the stairs. "I'm sorry boys, but I think our little platform is already full of musicians today. You look wonderful, though."
"Where did you find clothes to match their little outfits?" Yumiko asked, smiling. The boys shrugged and blushed at the compliments and decided not to reveal the truth; once they picked up the dolls to pack them away and found most of them had backless outfits, they would know.
"And what is Yuuta dressed up as today?" His mother asked.
"We're going out now." Syuusuke said, wrapping his hand around Yuuta's. "It's Yumiko-neesan's day, not ours. We're going to go play."
"Where are we going?" Yuuta asked, being practically dragged away and told nothing. Even Saeki was pushing him forward from behind. "What are we doing? What am I dressed up as?"
"We're going down to the river." Syuusuke said very calmly, even though Yuuta's questions were getting more agitated each time. "We're going to float dolls."
"What?" Yuuta squeaked. And, "we don't have any dolls!"
When they reached the river, Yuuta noticed the little boat sitting on the bank.
"You know what doll floating does for you, Yuuta?" Syuusuke asked sweetly as he pushed Yuuta into the boat. "It takes away your troubles. And you sure have been a trouble to us today."
