31_days Day 5! I did a trade-in again: 30 September 2008. And yes, I'm still writing TWSSG fic. IT MAY JUST GO TO SHOW WHAT A GOOD DRAMA IT IS AND HOW ENAMOURED I AM AND HOW EVERYONE SHOULD GET ON THE BANDWAGON ;D

Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi. (My favourite people:) Dam-Duk, Chuh-Ro, Sujini. Some unspecified time towards the end of the series. 241 Words.

It certainly isn't lack of desire that keeps Dam-Duk from making a move, and it isn't his position as King. Though he knows he has responsibilities to his country and people deep inside he is still the same man willing to turn his back on the world for the sake of living in happiness with his woman. It is thoughtfulness that makes him hesitate, it is the fact that he watches Chuh-Ro watching Sujini just as he does, and deeper, harder, as though he knows something no-one else does. It is the way he sees them together, relaxing and talking casually (Sujini talks, and Chuh-Ro listens at least), without burdens on their shoulders like the ones he has. Until Chuh-Ro came along, Dam-Duk had always assumed Sujini would just be there to be his friend and constant companion, and perhaps one day, he would persue something deeper. But now he is unable to make the move because he doesn't just see Sujini, he sees she and Chuh-Ro both.

He could sweep in and have her regardless. Sujini is transparent and he knows she has feelings for him. But to do so he is sure he would be missing out on something important, something Chuh-Ro only can bring to the both of them. Something perhaps he never would have known was missing had they never met.

The problem is that having met, Dam-Duk cannot now settle for less than his ideal.
