In trying to work out how exactly they all hold together a relationship in the future I have realised it's very VERY difficult! With Yukimura always away playing tennis, Yanagi and Sanada left thrown together, always knowing something is missing. They need to make this boy wake up and realise what he has in them and commit to them PROPERLY! *smacks him*

well, one option is that they drift apart and get thrown back together, which means a load of angst and whatever else have you.

lol, i think it says something of the way you an i perceive the dynamics of all three of them, because my future fic has them all striking out individually, with sanada, idk, sadly being stuck back home and just figuring how to stand solo while the other two are used to doing their own thing (idk, renji always struck me as the type).

That's very true and it might be an option! I wrote this with no real thought as to the bigger picture so it's very open.

With Renji he's not just drifted from friends before, he's purposely cut off with no contact to make the break easier - with Inui - so he's had to survive on his own after being part of a unit before. And he did. But I suppose you can argue that without that clean break, can he actually walk away?

Ooooooh this is very interesting! Especially with something like this and Yukimura not telling them anything about it. What would happen if he'd been hospitalized and they found out there?

I like this universe! You do need to write more. :D
