There's perhaps nothing quite so amusing to Yukimura as the times when the majority of his teammates are bitching and moaning about Sanada-fukubuchou and the way he is always so angry - always yelling at Kirihara or Niou or Marui about whichever something-or-other they've done wrong this time. Yukimura doesn't listen to their complaints willingly; in fact the boys usually irritate him so much that he'd like to discipline them all a second time on top of Sanada's orders just to make them think twice about whining to their captain again. But at the same time they do entertain him enough that he always refrains from actually laying more punishment on them. Sanada would only come over to ask what they'd all done now, and it would fluster him all over again. Yukimura doesn't like to do that to him.
He much prefers the way that Sanada's silence sounds; at least, the kind of silence that means he isn't talking but is still making noises. The snorts that come out in response to Yukimura's hands when they stroke and tease, or the strangled whines that catch in the back of his throat when Yanagi probes with his tongue at a particularly sensitive spot on Sanada's neck. The laboured breathing when he is caught between the two of them, and the sound that almost escapes with each breath which really demands, hurry up, do it now, but that he will never say.
It's also kind of funny the way so many of the team cede Yanagi so much respect. When Yanagi speaks everyone listens, falling into silence because Yanagi refuses to raise his voice over anyone else's, or repeat himself. He always sounds as though he knows precisely what he is talking about, and that's because Yukimura knows that he does. Yanagi's research is thorough, and he will not say something will confidence unless he is certain he can rely on it to be true.
Kirihara is in awe of Yanagi in a completely different way to the way he treats Yukimura. Yukimura, his leader, his buchou, is too untouchable in ways Kirihara can't explain. With Yanagi it's easy; Yanagi is so smart. He may be smarter than Kirihara, but at least Kirihara is familiar with feeling stupid. Besides, in time people can get smarter if they try.
They certainly shouldn't be able to get dumber, anyway. But if Yukimura had to put a name to what it does to Yanagi to be in a shower cubicle or in a bed with himself and Sanada, that would be a choice high up on the list. When Sanada's hands are roaming over Yanagi's skin in a more gentle way than anyone outside of the three of them could ever possibly guess him capable of, and Yukimura is suggesting they 'try something new', Yanagi doesn't get tongue-tied, he simply babbles. Words spill out of his mouth at such high speed that neither Yukimura or Sanada have ever been able to decipher what they are, and have long since stopped trying.
As for himself, Yukimura often finds that the most hilarious part of all. He has always been content to let Sanada run his mouth, bark orders and dole out punishments, keeping his own speeches short and sharp to give the most impact. Sanada has become white noise to Niou at least for definite, but Yukimura only needs one or two words to leave one of his Regulars trembling.
In bed he can't shut up.
Yukimura knows it works for them, because Sanada always makes the most encouraging sounds in response to whatever Yukimura suggests, and Yanagi actually becomes slightly coherent, although often it's only one single word repeated over and over again. Yukimura doesn't even care if he is left sitting and watching as he talks to the two of them about what they should be doing to each other; it all works for him. If there are any two people on his team who he needs to know are listening to everything he says every time he says it, it is Sanada and Yanagi.
So possibly he treats Yanagi and Sanada differently to everyone else. Well, no 'possibly' about it. But Yukimura feels the corner of his mouth quirk up everytime he is reminded just how wrong the rest of the team have got it about the three of them - they have such a fearsome reputation (one that serves them all so well they don't bother to correct it), a reputation which in many ways is true anyway. But when it comes to knowing there is more to each of them than the 'demon' distinction they only have one another for that.
