Some of you may recall that I've been in the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry for a number of years and came up a possible match twice, but ultimately the patient didn't go forward. Last August, I made it through second round testing and was told at the time that the patient wasn't ready to proceed. Last month I got the call that I'm a match

Vibes are winging their way over from me. I really hope this works out well for her - she's so lucky that you're a match so I'll keep my fingers crossed that her luck will continue.

I guess the odds of matching are pretty long. Of course, it leaves me wondering if we're related somehow in the distant past. Or if she looks like me. ;)
