Kph. Light has another thing coming if he thinks I'd ever miss a match. No one ever got back to me until today about the fact that I had to do one of these championship things. I know I put myself in for it, but no one ever said I'd got it. Whatever, here's my entry.
This is how a match between us would really go. (In drabble form)
Kaidoh Kaoru showed up to the tennis court early. Light hadn't yet arrived so Kaidoh went for a short run to warm up for the match. Along the way s/he saw a kitten dangling precariously from the edge of a roof. Kaidoh reached up and rescued the kitty, snuggling it a little as s/he continued to run back to the tennis court.
When Kaidoh and the kitten arrived, Light was at the court practicing his serve. Kaidoh set the kitten down next to hir tennis bag, grabbed a drink of water and then hir racket. Stepping out onto the court s/he gave Light a once over, remembering the previous match and the data Inui had collected and given to hir.
"Ready?" Light and Kaidoh both nodded and shook hands. It was an intense match, but Kaidoh came out the victor in a 7-5 match. Light was panting and drenched in sweat from having been caught up in Kaidoh's game of the snake.
