Finally.. here's my fst to Ayame Sohma & Yuki Sohma from Fruits Basket! Enjoy it!
Fruits Basket or "Furuba" -for the fans- is a hit anime/manga created by Natsuki Takaya and is still being published by Hana to Yume.
The story is about a girl named Tohru Honda who is a very optimistic, caring one, who knows to do all the household chores, loves her mother to death - for Tohru her mother's (Kyoko) picture it's one of her treasures- & is a fan of the Year of the Cat.(Kyoko used to tell her the story of the Juunishi causing her daughter cried & said she wanted to be a cat instead of a dog.)
Due to the repairments on her aunt's house, she was homeless. With the intention of not bothering anyone she decided to live on a tent until the "" were done. Unknown to her, the place where she had chosen to camp was part of a classmate's house.. not just any classmate but the most popular one: Sohma Yuki.
He lived there along with Sohma Shigure. After both male found Tohru, they took her to their house; because of a , Tohru's tent
was destroyed.(No need to say, she was desperate to find her mother's picture. However, Yuki found it for her)
The next day, Shigure offered her to stay on his house as long as she did all the household chores, to which Tohru agreed. Later on, she would get to meet an orange-haired boy who seemed to have a grudge against Yuki.. Trying to prevent any fight between the two, she hugged Kyo.. unexpectedly, a *poooff* was heard.
Tohru discovered the secret of the Sohma family: 12 members of the family will transform into they animals of the Juunishi when
they are hugged by the opposite sex,Yuki was the rat; Shigure, the dog & the recently newcomer(Kyo Sohma), the vengeful cat.
She was really surprised when she found out Kyo was the cat... it was like she had been given the chance to meet the cat.
Tohru, little by little, would get to see what was really to be a Juunishi.. the things they weren't allowed to do & the person who
controled their lifes. As she kept knowing more & more her desire to free her friends for the curse grew strong..
Ayame Sohma
Ayame is a 27-year-old eccentric & gorgeous man.He's cursed with the spirit of the snake, has a strong friendship with Shigure (the dog) and Hatori (the dragon) as they attended school together and formed the "Mabudachi Trio". Besides that, Ayame is the owner of a very weird store that is specialised on making male's dream come true.
Behind that exccentric personality, lies a brilliant man who regrets the past and tries his best to redeem himself.
Yuki Sohma
Yuki is a 17-yeard-old reserved, shy, kind guy. He's cursed with the spirit of the rat, and for being it he is considered as the closest to god. Apart from the attention he gets from the Sohma family, on his school he's the most popular, intelligent guy ..(He even has his own fanclub..-Prince Yuki fan club).His reserved behaviour is the result of a series of events during his childhood such as having his friends' memory erased, Akito's constant abuses & punishments, his family not caring entirely for him and some of the juunishi members having a grudge against him.
His life seemed to improve when he met Tohru, to for him she's like a mother figure..., and on the current manga chapters, Yuki is "leaving the nest".
Both are juunishi members, both have good looks, both are brothers. Oh yes! Aya and Yuki are siblings, they're quite different, though.
On one hand we have the shy, prudent prince of Kaibara High; Sohma Yuki. While on the other one, we've got the extravagant, owner of an unreachable self-esteem & a weird store; Sohma Ayame.
Ayame will always talk about a rift between Yuki and him. When he was a teenager he didn't pay much attention to his little brother, what's more he didn't concern about his problems.As he grew old, he recognised the mistake he made and tried to make it up to Yuki. Ayame wants him to be proud and amazed of the big brother he has.
He's now aware of what is going on with his ototo-kun. Sometimes he shows up in the nick of time (At Yuki's career interview when things were about to get out of control) while others.. just to see how he's doing.
Nevertheless, Ayame is not the only one trying to strength his bond with brother. Yuki is opening his heart to him little by little even though he gets annoyed by Aya's "I-should-call-Hatori-Yuki's-been-nice-to-me" act.
Their different personalities are the main problem as Yuki said but will Ayame's wish come true?
I based this cover on my FL layout (.. I own the Ayame & Yuki FL..).. it's almost the same design (this fst & my FL have the same name..). I also wrote two quotes which I think are essential to understand the brother's persepective of their relationship
