fun with cross-tables

I went exploring today in the All-Time Leaders section of cross-tables. I figured I've been around so long that, by sheer volume, I must be in the top 200 of at least some of the lists. Here's what I discovered, and I'd be interested to see where other people find themselves.

Number of games
Total: 2167
Rank: 101st

Number of wins
Total: 1189
Rank: 93rd

Interesting that 1000th place for wins is 306 wins, and 1000th place for losses is 292. A product of losers dropping out? A product of experienced players having a higher win percentage? Or both?

Remember, these are only approximations. Players who started in the 70's and 80's are missing a lot of data. Until the early 90's, a lot of tournaments only indicate who finished in the top half of each division.

True. I'm just viewing it as a way to have fun with the numbers we DO have.
