My weight loss regimen stalled there for a while. I lost 40 pounds last year, then lost my focus. I've kept up with my Weight Watchers meetings, but I've been losing and gaining the same two pounds since January.

Part of the problem is that I just can't get into a normal routine. My life is all over the place lately. Mostly in good ways, but still.

a half-hour of walking every day is one of the best ways to keep in shape. cliche, but true.

How does it compare to barfing on marine life?

it can't compare. barfing on marine life takes about three days' worth of calories out of your system so that you become unbelievably hungry and weak no matter how much you eat after the episode. I am wolfing down a whole pizza as we speak and it's barely making a dent.

Keeping that initial 40 pounds off while you have been unsettled in your routine is a huge success. Many people would have regained much of that weight, so give yourself great credit for the weight maintenance over the past few months!

That's what I keep reminding myself. I've learned from my mistakes. At least, in that regard.
