L.A.Z.Y.

I've been very lazy or else just stubborn. It's as if I can't even tell my own self what to do. I am, apparently, not the boss of me. A few minor health things leading to a Visit To A Specialist who asked if I was taking a certain med. I have been and it's in my list, which he had, apparently, not bothered to read. When I said I was, he said, how ( Read more... )

Grrrrrrrrr... I wish I could teleport you to my doctor(s). My GP? The first thing they do when they bring you into the room is go over each and every med or supplement you're taking (and if something has been added, taken off or changed, it goes into the electronic chart - and she looks at it before she comes in the room)! Plus, she's one of only a handful of docs that haven't blamed everything from halitosis to the fall of Saigon on my weight.

***hugs***

I hope you have a better day today - with lots of turtles, lots of eye candy and no sharks.

This is not to disparage your decision to have weight loss surgery - it's a cynical joke about how every doctor jumps on weight as an issue. Weight loss surgery scares me a bit, but I recognize it's a valid choice, and more importantly *YOUR* choice - none of my business, really - and given that it sometimes improves diabetes (for example - but that's *enough*!) I can't fault it.

Um. Where was I?

Oh, right.

No, now that you've had bariatric surgery, the fall of Saigon is no longer your fault - it's the fault of the other fat people
who haven't.

You are so funny and sweet. I really should get off Facebook and come here more often.

Ah, hell. I'm sorry. Bad doctors suck. Or maybe I should say "scrape", because sucking can be awfully nice, but when you're thinking of nice sucking, scraping *really* gives you the feeling that one should have about bad doctors.

Scraping reminds me of my days as a woman and having to have a D&C. Ugnnnn. But yeah, some of these people are very bland, it's like whenever there's a shark bite here there has to be half a dozen people to say 'the ocean is their home." Well DUH..... This doctor was in response to my doctor treating me very often for diverticulitis whenever I have a lower left quadrant pain, and there are so many other issues.... including bladder, 'adhesions', and the whole twisting bowel thing that almost killed me. Which, I find out, volvulus is often associated with VACTERL Association, which is the birth defect my grandson has. Any connection? Who the hell knows?

Hey there!

This is Ben and I am wondering if you have made the transition to Facebook. I am looking back and seeing people that I enjoyed so much in the LJ days and lost contact with when I fully moved over to the much larger social media platform of Facebook. And maybe you have and we already are Facebook friends and I just don't realize it (and I will be really embarrassed). Anyway, just in case, I am B.g. Thomas on Facebook and would love to hear from you!
HUGS and Love!
Ben
