The Rules
1. RP is all consent based. You may not harm or kill another player without their express consent.
2. You may not have more than 2 characters in this game. - This rule will be waived for dedicated players on a case-by-case basis. "Dedicated" means you've been here at least three months and played your current character(s) consistently and often.
3. Public Comm = PUBLIC RP. All the town and school communities are Public. Only private residences or dorms are considered locked/reserved RP. If someone interrupts your private tete-a-tete that's being held in a public post, deal with it ICLY.
4. Residences are considered private, locked RP unless otherwise noted and can be posted in character journals. Any private residence journal needs to be linked to the character journal during RP there.
5. Character Death: It happens. In this town, it probably happens violently. HOWEVER!! RP is consent based. You cannot kill another character without their consent. Any death plots or scenes should be put behind a 'Trigger' cut.
6. Plots that affect the city must be applied for to the Mods. If you plan to put a bomb in a shopping mall, derail a train, or fly an "I LOVE MARCIA!" banner over the city, you need to send an email to the Mods at least 24 hours in advance and work out a time for this to happen when a Mod can be online to assist with running the scene. There will be factors you are not aware of that will affect it. The city isn't inanimate. There are beings who will react. Be aware of that before you plan damage and mass casualties.
7. ICA=ICC. In Character Actions result in In Character Consequences. You can't always predict how another character will react to something, so make communication your best friend. When in doubt, talk to the other players in the scene before you post. There are also NPC characters, like police, who may intercede in Public RP, at the Mods' discretion.
8. The admins reserve the right to smack the stupid. Wherever possible, we'll try to resolve things in game via IC means. This may mean we drop an NPC in or mod an NPC from a previous scene. If we can't resolve something via IC means, we'll ping you OOCLY and give you a heads up on what we think the problem is and see if it can't be resolved.

At the end of the day, we're all here to play and have fun.
