Inspirational (hopefully)

Below is an email I sent out today, hopefully there'll be enough of a response that I can just become a sheep and follow everyone else's productivity. Please feel free to join, even if you're not sure you're going to make anything. That way there's an audience to perform for.

Got ideas but not the drive to get them done?
Join the club!

Folks usually have the hardest time getting started creatively when working from a blank page with no deadline. But if there's a due date and some constraint to work around, they can usually get inspired. So I'm putting together something that will help provide those things.

Every Thursday morning I'll send out a couple of constraints for you to work around, typically a medium and/or a concept, such as Photography + Contrast or Plastic Bottle + Animal. If neither one speaks to you, perhaps you can choose a bit from column A and a bit from column B, or maybe you just wait until the following week. You then have until the next Thursday morning to make whatever it is you're going to make. It's not much time, but the idea is that the pressure will lead to more doing and less procrastination.

When you're done, hopefully you'll upload a picture or a description or something to inspire/shame the rest of us into completing our own works as well.

Send an email to seminalsemana-subscribe(at)yahoogroups(dot)com if you think you might be interested, either in participating or even just to see what other people are doing. Feel free to pass it along to anyone who might want to join.
