Her eyes flash brightly
melding into mine.
Warming, healing,
            making me forget whatever
made it wrong today.

I take a deep breath
and my chest is warm,
              understanding,

Then the light is gone
and so is the heat,
my breath comes out in a cloud,
hanging in front of us,
              like a ghost,
disappearing.
