The story is sweet, and not too bad for a first foray with the characters. The only thing I would suggest is to correct your html tags. All of your text that you intend to italicize is framed with [i]text[/i].

The tags should be < >text, with whatever formatting indicator you want between the darts on either side. If you do an Alt-H replace of your brackets with darts, you can fix this issue quickly and everything should format correctly.
