so..my parents officially kick ass. they got me a gateway intel inside laptop with wireles internet connection and windows xp for my birthday. its fuggin sweet as all HELL!!! so yup...good 18th birthday!!!!!!!
DUDE. my parents are offiially the best. for my birthday my parents got me a new "macbook pro" laptop w/ wireless internet and a built in webcam and so much good shit.
for my 16th birthday they suprised me with my very own computer which was a desktop, and now for my 17th they gave me a new laptop.the cool thing is, is that i still get to keep both the desktop and laptop.
That is a ridiculously good computer for a 17-year-old. I'm sorry, but that laptop is just too good for you. You should return it immediately, or send it to me. The only thing I can really trash about it is that it's still Intel and not Athlon. But dual core is nice. Also, other than the price, the only reason I wouldn't get a mac as of yet is compatibility issues. It's great for graphic design, publishing, music... all that good professional stuff. But when it comes to gaming, and a multitude of programs (mostly open source) it becomes increasingly difficult for mac users. But they're getting better. :-)
Also, learn how to build your own desktop. It'll get you a top of the line computer for wicked cheap. Just a word of advice. ^_^
macs are really dificult to use if you have never used one before. when i got my desktop at first, i didnt know what my computer was capable of so i just downloaded a virus into it. and it did detect it ,but as the beginner i was i didnt do shit so i ended up having to reinstall the driver. its all good now and i am smarter at computers now.
that laptop is ridiculously good. right now it is top of the line over EVERYTHING. i was just wanting a new flat panel monitor for like $200. but i got a $3000 dollar laptop instead. my parents excuse- "its my going to be a senior next year gift" and then i get a car when i graduate.
HOLY SHIT. you know what i just found out? IM SPOILED AS HELL!!! but how can i be spoiled when i really dont even want all this stuff? trust me, i can live without a computer. i was doing it a year ago and i had no problem with it. its got to be my parents that spoil me. last year, i wanted an IPOD, i got a new desktop computer. this year i wanted a new flatpanel monitor, i got a new laptop.
Ha. Well, it's not tippitty top of the line, but it's up there. Your desktop is a Mac, too? That's silly. Damn expensive. What the fuck do you do with that thing? Haha.
Also, I want you to know I'm drinking hot chocolate... hot WHITE chocolate. I love Korea!
