She doesn't (although I was fooled and it was highly disturbing) - she convinces him to hang himself through blackmail really. She calls his girlfriend over and then in the time limitation tricks him by telling him that if he 'does the decent thing' and kills himself she'll remove the evidence of his peadophilia before the girlfriend arrives. So he does. But then she doesn't, she just leaves, looking determined to find her next victim.

I loved this movie. Saw it a few days before finding this post, actually.

This movie wasn't that bad, when it comes to some of the other ones... Although I can understand how the whole penis mutilation would make a guy squeamish.

I think Ellen Page (the girl) did an amazing job of acting. I mean, she was playing a sociopath. How emotive did you expect her to be?
