In Canada, those making minimum wage are well below the poverty line. So I think their plan is to increase it to $10, which works out to above it. Slightly.

re:non-music -- it's the clubbing influence taking over. all people really care about now is a strong beat with a little bit of funk that they can shake their ass to. so sad. our culture is becoming more crass every day.

The parents of the generation that fell in love with Elvis were shocked that Elvis danced moving his hips.
Half a century later we have barely clothed (almost naked? half full/half empty?) very young women rubbing up on men's crotch's in popular three minute music videos.
Such is progress.

i find it sad that girls as young as 8 are wearing some of this barely-there clothing. where are their parents? did you see that episode of sex and the city where this 14 year old girl and her friends were saying the only way you could get guys to like you was to blow them? i know i talked about that episode with someone... probably nish.
