you seem like you want to do alot. you should meet my ex roommate. she does something on her birthday every year (i.e. skydiving, bungee jumping...)
Also, that Alex guy sounds like an alcoholic, probably passed down from the parents. Just because he might not drink doesn't mean that he avoids the personality...
