It's amazing how Americans are so concerned about the suffering and injustices of others all over the world...
yea right! only if there is oil involved.
I consider myself up to date on what's going on in the world. but i have never even heard about these refugees. It so sad how politically stoooopid ameikkkans are and how blatantly hypocritical our government is.

yes, we are detached and concieted...I was totally depressed when that nightclub in Bali was bombed. It seemed to have evoked little response, sympathy, or emotion here. I think most americans were just relieved that only a couple americans were killed. I didn't see the same outrage here as I saw expressed the world all over on 9-11.

We lost 88 people there, and it seems like it wasn't even a big issue.

In fact, I think you're the only American I know who has even mentioned it to me.

Tragedies happen all over the world every single day. It's good to see people recognising that just because it didn't happen to the USA, doesn't make it less important.
