Single sex schools are ridiculous. They do absolutely nothing to prepare you for any educational facility beyond high school or prep school or wherever it is you are, but there basically are no all-girl or all-boy colleges, and the world certainly isn't organized that way. The system is pointless.

Furthermore, boys (or girls) become the "forbidden fruit", and something completely foreign, and it leads to graduates without any knowledge and/or respect of/for the opposite sex. I mean, I know that you don't spend your WHOLE LIFE without any boys around, but most of my social interaction certainly was through high school at that age. If it had all been with girls, I'd be even more clueless about guys than I already am. *cringe*

Trust me I could rant for hours about the stupidity of single-sex schools. I get told I can be a bitch around guys but it's honestly just because I'm nervous.

Thanks, it's the hall I'm going to be living in. In NZ, you can basically go to any University and take whatever course you want as long as you have UE. The competition is all in, halls of residence and acceptance into the second year of your course. I'm going to Otago University. It's down the bottom of the country and it's fucking freezing there, known for it's drinking and couch burning, good times should be had.

i have 3 brothers so i'm used to living with guys but i would be quite different to live with guys who aren't related to you, needless to say. my brothers have incredibly messy rooms and if it wasn't for my mum they would never clean up after themselves. the hostel i got into have single rooms so i don't have to share a room with complete strangers. i heard from ex-massey students that the hall i got into have a nice and friendly atmosphere so that's good. one of other halls i applied for but wasn't my first choice is apparently full of veterinary degree students who spent all day studying hard-out because only 25% of people who applied for it can get in. they sound like alot of fun to be around, i don't think. they would make me feel guilty for not studying more. i haven't got into brand new yet but i'm listening to their song you uploaded and it's growing on me. i should download some of their songs. i haven't been studying much at all but i've been really tired and i would rather be enjoying having no more school than study. i'm

Yeah, it's definitely a different dynamic with a brother. I'm the worst one in my family in terms of tidyness, my room is always disgusting. I'm kind of nervous but mostly excited, if I had to be surrounded by girls for another year I think I might have had to shoot myself
