Sooo Broke

I have seen three films at the theater this week (hey big spender)

The Curious Case of Benjamin ButtonI was fully prepared to hate this movie; Brad Pitt: overexposed and therefore annoying and unbelieveable... or so I thought. I was so wrong, this movie was so much better than I expected. Shed a few (see: torrential downpour) tears ( Read more... )

my opinions are the only opinions, mooovies

i wanna see slumdog millionaire. it looks good. my mum wants to see the curious case of benjamin button but i'm not that keen on it. another movie i wanna see is let the right one in. it's a swedish film about this boy who meets a vampire (its gender is debatable) & they become friends. i can't really explain it. it's better than twilight & i haven't read a bad review of it.

i've watched half of it on megavideo.com. if you don't mind reading subtitles it's good. it is slow paced but it suits the mood of the film. it's only showing at the paramount cinema in wellington. when do you start uni? i'm doing 1 paper at vic uni this upcoming semester but it doesn't start until march. i'm working part-time as well.

I've heard about 'Let The Right One In' I'm not that big on the whole vampire phenonimum so I don't know if I'm going to watch it, but I hear it is really good.

I start uni in a week. This week is o-week so all I'm really going to be doing is drinking and then recovering (repeat) but it's so good being back with my friends! What paper are you taking at vic?

lol "torrential downpour tears". Read: how I get every time I watch Garden State. I want to see BB at some point. It has Oscar Noms out the butt.

Slumdog Millionaire was so surprising! Given the subject matter I thought it was going to be really depressing, but the ending just put the biggest smile on my face (and possibly a few tears in my eyes).

I rented Into The Wild one time but never watched it... I have the soundtrack though and I love THAT so I'll probably end up downloading the movie some day. Eddie Vedder is my dirty older man boyfriend.

Emile Hirsch is gorgeous, he's amazing in Into The Wild
