my dad is a mechanical engineer which comes in handy because he can fix my broken stuff and is good with technical things so i know what you mean by the quintessential engineer. um, what does a civil engineer do? congrats on finishing your degree! i still haven't decided what uni degree i wanna do so i'm working part-time at the moment. i might study part-time next year at vic. looks like you've had lots of fun in dunedin.

It's like roads and bridges etc, so he works in the New Zealand Transport Authority.
I might be a vic next year too! It depends if the Otago people get their act together or not. Do you know what you might study next year, are you tossing up between a few options?

i'm not really sure because i have to find something that interests me and i have trouble making up my mind. i've done some business related papaers at massey uni already but i don't think it's the right thing for me so idk. my mum wants me to do public policy. i think i just wanna go to uni so i have an excuse not to work. i'm sick of working so i just want a change.
