Eliot had made the decision this morning that Gilbert was sulking too much for his liking. Vincent was away on some day trip, over all Eliot didn't attend to his middle brother's affairs if only because Vincent didn't rankle him the way Gilbert did with his fits of melancholy. “Eliot, what did I tell you about Indoor Voices?” Reo piped up from the bottom step, already starting on the first chapter of the latest installment to the series he and Eliot had been devoted to ever since they were small children. His dress was similar to the heralded Nightray Eldest; a loose cotton shirt with dark slacks and matching shoes, and an unbuttoned coat that matched. He wouldn’t mind the somewhat warm clothes in the pleasant weather. It wasn’t like he planned to run around in the sun.

The boy wasn’t torn from his book even as Gilbert called back to them and walked over to them. “Yes, you should do that, Gilbert. I’m sure Eliot and I can afford to wait a few more minuets…” He put a slight emphasis on the last few words, making sure Eliot really got the message this time.

Eliot grumbled something at Reo's chastising, it sound vaguely apologetic at least. He looked at Gilbert however with the full force of a glower. He put his hands on his hips as he addressed the older boy. Yes Eliot was still in 'hot head mode'.

"Well hurry up then!" he said with a huff before he sat next to Reo on the bottom step as if they had a schedule to keep. He looked over the other boy's shoulder at the pager he was reading and sufficiently assured he was farther ahead he opened his own book.
