If you give a Rabbit a Slice of Meat...

Eliot frowned as he entered the kitchen…this girl…he glanced at Alice and sniffed as he opened the door for her. She was so bossy! She had better not expect him to cook for her! Though really all Eliot could make was a pot of tea and a sandwich, maybe, if there weren’t too many ingredients.

You had better have something to say, he thought as he ( Read more... )

Taking her cue, Alice flung open the pantry to search for food. She looked left and right, searching frantically to find what she wanted.

Alas, she found it...meat......but it was raw.
"Elliot...the meats raw..." Alice stated, almost in horror. "Wheres that Seaweed head when we need him?!"

She then turned to him, wondering if she should demand a noble to cook for her...not because she wouldn't dare to do so...but because she wonders if Elliot can cook at all. "Elliot..."

"Seaweed Head...Gilbert?" Eliot asked, no he rather not have his older brother here. God knew the older man probably be smirking at him about all of this. Indeed the thought that she may go out and find the oldest Nightray boy moved him to gingerly take the meat from her, and place it in a pot.

After washing his hand thoroughly he looked at the oven. Well you just put it inside, right? He could do this! For heaven's sake, if every servant knew how! After a few tries he let the pilot flame and put the pot inside. So now they just waited.

"Meat usually is stored raw, it goes dry if you cook it," he added as an after thought, as if trying to show he knew anything at all about cooking.

Alice smiled at Elliot. She knew nothing about cooking either, but if Elliot had something thoughtful to say it wouldn't be hard for him to fool her. "So it'll be done soon?" She asked impatiently, her mouth watering as she stared at the oven. She peered and it for a couple of minutes before turning to Elliot.

"Do you want something?" Of course she wasn't going to be the one to cook for him, but she still thought she'd ask. Maybe he wanted cookies or something, then it wouldn't be hard to get it for him. She then sighed and murmured to herself without thinking, "I wonder where Oz is..."

"No, thank you," Eliot sighed, in truth he wasn't a big eater, and had a hard time how a girl as small as she intended to eat that hunk of meat by herself.

"We'll be able to tell when it's done," he responded evasively about the meat, not wanting to give away he had never cooked in his life. He frowned at the mention of Oz Vessalius.

"Who is he to you anyway?" he asked, she wasn't his servant like Gilbert supposedly was, and she didn't appear to be a relative.
