Summary : When Key (a blonde, British, sweet but snarky fifteen year old) and Jonghyun (a blonde, Korean slash American overly excited twenty-one year old) have both the bitch level of +1000, nothing ends up right.

(yup. this is about a snowboard/ski boot camp. with Jonghyun as a sexy instructor.)

Jonghyun was standing at the reception, patiently tapping his fingers against the surface of the counter as a middle-aged woman was filling in some papers, shoving them over to him with a pen afterwards for him to finish up Key's information.
Jonghyun grabbed the pen and intently stared at the papers in front of him, letting out a sigh when he noticed that in the rush of going to the hospital, nobody bothered to give him Key's data.

He looked up at the woman who just eyed him with dull eyes, giving her a sheepish smile and shyly diving his hand in his pocket to fetch his cellphone, "Just a sec," He excused himself with his index, averting his eyes back to the screen of his expensive phone and scrolling down his contact list.

He brought the device to his ear as soon as he found the letter J and pressed the call button, waiting for Jeremy's low voice to answer him.
It only took two rings for his co-worker to pick up, "Jonghyun ? Everything okay ?"

The blonde tried not to look up at the woman whom he could fell boring holes in his head, keeping his gaze fixed on the papers whilst twirling the pen around his fingers.
"Hey, yeah everything's just fine, Key's being examined right now," He reassured him quickly before getting to the point of why he had called him, "I need to fill in some important stuff but I don't have Keys papers here, so could you --"

"Sure," Jeremy cut him off and Jonghyun could hear him dropping something to the ground, hearing him say a 'I'll be right back' to probably one of the kids and jogging into what he assumed was the direction of the hostel.
"Thanks," He breathed out, not sure if Jeremy heard or not and daring to drift his eyes upwards to the receptionist lady, noticing that she was still boringly watching him and giving her a quick flash of teeth before looking back at the papers.

It took Jeremy quite a few minutes before he finally arrived at where they held all the participants' papers in the hostel, his panting in the receiver causing an annoying rustle.

"Key Kim or Kim Kibum," Jeremy exclaimed aloud, followed by the loud rustling of papers and plastic, "He has two names, apparently,"
"Kim ?" The blonde asked inquisitively, "Is that his surname ?"
He heard Jeremy hum, followed by the scraping sound of a chair that was dragged over the floor, "Same as yours," The monitor added monotone, voice muffled by something that he was having in his mouth which Jonghyun assumed was a finger.

Jeremy had that weird habit of his of constantly biting on his finger, Jonghyun had noticed over the past few years they worked together in the boot camp. At first he teased him with it, saying that it was practically the same as thumb sucking, but Jeremy had always ignored it and didn't seem affected by how badly the blonde wanted to get on his nerves, so Jonghyun decided to put brakes to it. If there's one thing in life that he hated the most, it was doing effortless things.

"What was the other name ?" The blonde asked curiously, the lines on the paper not providing for filling in two names.
"Kibum Kim or Kim Kibum, I don't know," Jeremy said boringly, voice still muffled, "It's his ... Korean name," He read aloud, tone a bit hesitant.

Jonghyun smiled a little at knowing he and the blonde kid shared the same surname, and he was genuinely surprised at hearing that the British kid was actually Korean as well. He should have known from the first time he saw him. He remembered that he was kind of mesmerized by the other's unusual features. Normally people with small eyes and other Asian features don't really have natural blonde hair and green eyes, so it would've been a lie if he had said that he wasn't the slightest bit amazed by his stunning, pretty face the first day of the boot camp.

"Okay so what do you need to know about our little princess," Jeremy snickered as soon as he had seated himself down with Key's information in front of him.
Jonghyun grinned at the nickname his co-worker had just used. The way he treated Key was clearly rubbing off on the other monitors.

"Uhm," Jonghyun's chocolate brown eyes flickered over the paper, "date of birth," He read aloud, pen placed on hold and hovering over the printed letters.

"September twenty-three, 1997,"

Jonghyun shot into action, silently repeating the date in his head and scribbling it down on the paper. He felt someone's presence behind him and he shot a quick glance over his shoulder, sending the young girl who looked at him in confusion an apologetic smile before taking a step aside so that he wasn't blocking her way.

He scribbled all the information down Jeremy gave him, his heart breaking a little when he mentioned that his father had passed away on May 12, 2012.
The receptionist lady was talking to the girl next to him and Jonghyun let out an annoyed sigh, squeezing his cellphone between his shoulder and ear and with his free  hand drowning out the redundant background noises and the girl's high pitched voice by pressing it to his ear.

His eyebrows rose when Jeremy told him Key had hay fever, quickly scribbling it down on the provided lines and letting out another sigh when they neared the last question.

"Okay, thanks," Jonghyun said quickly when he exaggeratedly finished the last word on the paper with a period, "I'll be going now," and with that he didn't wait for a response and hung up, pocketing his phone back in his pants and shoving the papers back to the receptionist who, by this time, had finished whatever she had to discuss with the girl.

"Here you go," He said in a cheery voice, teeth showing and eyes twinkling in feign excitement because the woman's stoic face was getting on his nerves and making him feel uncomfortable.
"Thanks," She said in a monotone voice, eyes scanning the paper and frowning a little at what Jonghyun was assumed his messy handwriting.
He mentally shrugged; they could go and play detective and decipher the jumbled mess of unkempt letters on their own.

"Can I go see him ?" He asked quickly so that there was no room for her to ask about what the hell a particular word was supposed to mean. He chuckled a little.

"Yeah, room 203," She said as she shot a quick glace at the computer screen on her desk.
Jonghyun sent her one last, polite smile and ran off as the woman kept gazing at the papers as if she had never seen one before.
He made his way to the stairwell and ascended the stairs, taking two steps at a time for the sake of arriving at Key's room earlier.

Once he got to the second floor he looked at the numbers of the rooms, gazing down the endless, white corridor.
There was a boy dressed in a white tank top and blue pajama bottoms walking into the opposite direction, dragging one of those infusions one wheels behind him.

He saw a doctor and a nurse coming out of one of the rooms and Jonghyun's ears perked up when he heard one of them say, "We'll see you later, okay, Key ?"
He immediately fastened his speed at hearing the younger boy's name, no doubt that that was his room seeing as the name 'Key' wasn't really common.
He was confused now though, he couldn't wait to ask Key about his Korean side. Neither did he know if he had to call him Key or Kibum, and eventually he decided to just keep it with Key because it sounded the most natural and less forced.

The doctor and the nurse were already gone as soon as he was standing in front of room 203, hesitantly raising his hand and softly knocking on the door.
He didn't wait for an answer and slowly opened the door, peeking his head inside and spotting the blonde boy sitting on the bed.
His green eyes were fixed on him, a little, almost unnoticeable smile tugging at his pink lips at seeing the older man's face and eyes twinkling in happiness. "Jonghyun," He sounded almost relieved, and it made Jonghyun feel a little uncomfortable.

"Hey Key," Jonghyun greeted him back, one corner of his mouth lifted to form a grin, "how are you ?" He asked, stepping into the room and soundlessly closing the door behind him.

"Fine, I guess," The blonde answered with a shrug, one hand resting on his cast.
Jonghyun's eyes fell to his hurt arm, only now noticing the light blue cast with a frown, "did it hurt ?" He asked, coming closer to the bed and sitting down on the mattress at the end. There was only a cast around his wrist, it didn't go any further than his elbow and Jonghyun felt a little more relieved, knowing that not his entire arm was broken.

Key followed his every action, shrugging once Jonghyun had settled down. "How long do I have to stay here ?" He asked, hopeful gaze meeting Jonghyun's and the older boy had to swallow hard, trying to keep the cheerfulness in his appearance visible.

"I don't know yet, they'll let us know soon so don't worry," He reassured the younger boy, shifting a bit so that he could take a closer look at the cast.
"Did you pick the color ?" He asked smilingly, running his index over the cast as if the other could feel it.

Key gave him a quick nod before opening his mouth again, eyes still full of hope and expectation, "You're going to stay with me, right ?"

Jonghyun's face softened, looking up at him with a smile, "Of course I am," He said in a soothing voice, hand leaving his cast and going up to his face instead, brushing the overgrown bangs out of his eyes. A light shade of pink appeared on the other's pale cheeks and it made the tip of his stomach tip in a pleasant way, retracting his hand and scooting a little away from him so that it wouldn't look too weird wheif a nurse would come barging in.

Key leaned back against the cushions, eyes looking anywhere but Jonghyun, trying to keep his gaze fixed on the pretty flowers situated on the window sill.
"I didn't know you were Korean," The eldest began, trying to break the awkward silence that was threatening to fall upon them.
Key's head snapped into his direction, looking slightly bewildered and confused at the same time. Before he could ask the monitor any questions Jonghyun quickly admitted that he had read his files.
Key's mouth formed a little 'o' as he dumbly nodded his head, "Yeah, my dad was,"

Jonghyun felt something pierce his heart at how the younger boy had to use past tense when talking about his father, wanting nothing else but press Key to his chest and tell him everything was going to be alright even though the British boy didn't show any signs of sadness. He swallowed hard.

"And your mom ?" He asked out of pure intrest, trying to control his itching hands that were on the verge of reaching out for the fragile boy that seemed to be bottling up all his emotions. He tried to keep a stoic face but Jonghyun knew that deep inside he was crying.

"She's British," He said dryly, staring intently at his hands which were resting in his lap. Jonghyun nodded, watching him playing with his own fingers.
He had pretty fingers, they were long and slender with perfect rounded and flawless nails. Jonghyun realised he liked those kind of nails much more than those long, painted ones of girls. He smiled a little at remembering how Key had intertwined those pretty fingers with his back in the ambulance.

"Dangsineun hangugeo hal jjul aseyo ?" Jonghyun asked curiously, a big grin plastered on his face as he waited for the other's response. Luckily, a little smile crossed Key's face and his whole, pale face lit up like a christmas tree, "Nae," He said with that same pretty smile playing on his pink lips.
Jonghyun was still mesmerized by how one simple gesture could make him even more prettier. It was just a damn smile.

"Jeongmaryo ? Jeongmal meositta ! Naneun oraettongan hangugeoro iya," He chuckled, scratching the back of his head. Kibum's cheeks were once again changing colors, at first they were as white as snow and as Jonghyun kept smiling at him like the stupid puppy he was they slowly began to turn into a light pink.

"Nan anya," He said softly, eyes going back down to play with his fingers as the pink on his cheeks began to turn into a cute shade of red, "I don't like talking in Korean though, it's weird," He quickly added before Jonghyun would continue.

The eldest's face fell a little, "Oh, why not ?" He asked, almost pouting at which Key had to raise an eyebrow, it didn't suit someone his age to pout.

"I don't know, it's weird to talk in Korean to someone who also knows English," He said hesitantly and Jonghyun couldn't help but find it a ridiculous reason. Though, he sucked it up and decided to just lay off.

He wasn't disappointed in the slightest though, really, because he figured that when the other would speak Korean, he couldn't hear that cute, British accent anymore. Somewhere he was even grateful.

"Do you still have family in Korea ?" He asked, trying to catch the other's attention who seemed to be avoiding his gaze.
"Not that I know of," Key mumbled, finally raising his head again so that their eyes would lock and his blushing would increase.

Jonghyun smiled at him, not a happy one but neither a sad one. Somewhere in between, as if saying he felt sorry for him for not knowing his family and just being friendly at the same time.

"Are we far away from the hostel ?" Key asked curiously, turning his head to look out of the window. He frowned when he was met with a view of skyscrapers and high buildings, biting his lip in thought.

"I think so, why ?" Jonghyun asked, admiring the other's profile with a small smile.

"I wanna go back," The younger boy muttered, turning his head back so that he was facing his monitor who quickly wiped the dreamy smile off his face. He let out an awkward cough, scratching at his elbow and averting his eyes to the clipboard on the chair next to the hospital bed.

"I wanna go back to Kenneth and David," Key continued to whine and Jonghyun let out an inaudible sigh, thanking the gods that the boy hadn't noticed him staring at him.

He had the urge to ask him if he wasn't good enough as company but restrained himself, pursing his lips into a thin line.

"It's as if you guys are married," He mumbled, almost sounding annoyed, getting a snort from the blonde in return.

"Maybe we are," He deadpanned, attitude once again coming to the surface. Jonghyun couldn't help but grin a little, somehow he was really fond of this bitchy side of him.
"Yeah, especially you and Kenneth," He continued, leaning back on his palms of his hands and shooting the boy in front of him a teasing smile.

Key frowned, "There's nothing between me and Kenneth, weirdo,"

Jonghyun laughed loudly, throwing his head back, "Are you serious ? You guys sleep in the same bed, you hold hands and I bet you even give each other a goodnight kiss," He joked, trying not to show the other that he was just ... slightly annoyed by it. He would never admit to himself that maybe just maybe, he was just a little jealous.

Key turned into a human potato, his face and ears bright red and biting down his lip forcefully. So it was true ? Did they kiss each other goodnight ?

Jonghyun was slightly fuming inside but covered it up by grinning mischievously, "You like boys, don't you ?"

Key was startled, he looked bewildered and confused by the blonde male's very, very personal question. It was none of his business, "Are you even allowed to ask this kind of stuff ?" He shrieked, shifting his position so that he was sitting on his knees.
His face flushed even a brighter red and he quickly placed his hands on his cheeks to cool himself off. The contrast was cute, Jonghyun thought, bright red face and pale, pale hands.

"No need to be shy," He teased, eyes turning into little slits as he smiled at the smaller boy in front of him. Key's big green eyes were staring at him, "Freak," Jonghyun heard him say, voice muffled by his hands and he could only chuckle.
"W-well, we did kiss once b-but --"

He was cut off by Jonghyun's astonished face and ajar mouth, a loud 'what !?' escaping his lips.

"It meant n-nothing ! We were j-just experimenting !" He defended himself, eyes desperate.

"I am not gay !" Key said bluntly, eyes trippling in size once he realised he had said that so straightforwardly. Jonghyun laughed, despite feeling just the slightest bit down by what the younger had just told him, deciding to tease and push him a little bit more so that he could force an answer out of him. He wasn't quite sure why he wanted to know if Key was into boys or not, he was just ... curious.

"I-it's not because we sleep i-in the same bed that there is s-something between us, you know," Key stuttered, face still flushed and hands slowly sliding down his cheeks and falling back in his lap. His eyes were boring holes into Jonghyun's, heart doing a little sommersault.

"Prove it," Jonghyun challenged him. It was getting slightly hotter in the room and Key tugged a little at his collar, swallowing hard and trying to control his heart that was threatening to burst out of his chest by now.
He was not gay, he was not gay, he was not gay.

"W-well," He tried to think of something that he could use as proof that he had no feelings for his best friend whatsoever, "I like pretty girls," He admitted thrutfully, looking at Jonghyun uncertainly.

The monitor looked unconvinced, "You don't seem all that interested in the girls of the boot camp though,"

Key narrowed his eyes at him, "Because they're not pretty," He deadpanned and Jonghyun shrugged, "Still not convinced,"

Key let out a loud sigh and muttered, "Whatever, it's none of your business anyway," His face was back to its original paleness, his bottom lip pulled in between his teeth and eyes once again fixated on his slim fingers.

"Okay, it's clear, you like boys," Jonghyun said, trying to sound casual and deep inside loving how Key's head shot up, green eyes burning holes through his head and flickering with anger at how the eldest couldn't seem to drop the topic.

"Okay ! Fine ! I'll prove it !" He shouted at him and Jonghyun's big, brown eyes widened at how the younger had raised his voice, almost scared that he could be heard from across the other side of the hospital.

Key got up from the bed and stood next to the older boy in one big stride, his unharmed arm shooting up to grab Jonghyun's jaw and pulling it to his face.

Jonghyun wasn't sure what was happening until he got kissed square on the lips.
