the last two communities i tried to join on ij, i've been "challenged" by some other person wanting to play the same character there after i applied and both times, the other person won. i'm sure they've probably been playing that character longer and possibly have more examples to show but i felt really proud with the examples i gave. i thought my ( Read more... )

That is the only bad thing about comms over there. I will never understand the challenging thing. It should just be first come, first served. Although, I doubt you're a bad writer.

yeah, it's kind of a crappy system and it's such a bummer because a lot of comms are pretty good- much better than lj for celeb communities but sometimes they're so god damn impossible to get into.

Damn, that sucks. D= I suppose that's the appeal of OCs. You don't have to worry about that, you know? I doubt seriously that you're a bad writer. I hope it doesn't happen to you again, or you win if it does.

i just can't get into ocs, haha. it does make it easier since no one can challenge how you play that character but i stick celeb. thank you, though.

i was terrified of them too and i thought people would mean or i wouldn't play my character well enough but i've done psls with people from ij and everything has gone well. the communities are intimidating to get into but they're really not bad, just the challenges really suck hahaha. thank you. :(

sadly, some of the horror stories about the people on ij are true but for the most part, i've been lucky in finding a few good people. my biggest problem has been the players being really flaky. but i'm the same way, i need to be able to have some sort of ooc conversation/relationship with the people i play with. i don't need to be bffs but it's awkward just always being like, "hi, wanna rp?" "okay" and that being it.

I love IJ comms, but the challenges are ridiculous.
I'm starting to find that IJ PB comms are the best comms out there.
