thinking about school and how much it applies in the real world is laughable, I have a job over people with degrees yet i still feel the need to obtain one. why does this world seem so facinated with the idea that because you have a degree it means you can do things others with out can't. Experience and initiative should be weighted a lot more than

i agree. but think about it this way: people with degrees have already jumped through the rings. you can argue how useless the knowledge is (i don't know ONE person who applies any of their math skills higher than algebra in the 'real world' unless they are math teachers), but the truth is you envy the degree because for whatver reasons you haven't already acheived what you've been brainwashed since you could talk, that you MUST have.
