My initial optimism re: the job has faded to drudgery and mundanity. Why am I surprised? I still feel worthless.

As a college graduate, I make minimum wage in fast food.  There is nothing wrong with my majors, my degree, or my college, just with me.

Rudy, don't get too down on yourself. You are not the only one to feel this way. It's hard to reconcile all we were ever told growing up and all we believed about ourselves, but this really very little to do. Don't feel too bad buddy.

Seriously, Rudy, wait until you've been out for a couple of years at least before you get down on yourself for working in fast food. It's hard in this day and age to get that perfect job right after college. I'm already on job number three and searching for job number four since graduating two and a half years ago. I regret not getting an internship, but I have to deal with that the best way I know how. Love ya, kiddo. Hang in there.
