Where did you begin 2008?
with Marta and some of her friends, at her friend's house
What was your status by Valentine's Day?
single, as usual
Were you in school (anytime this year)?
yup, still stuck at this damn school... though I now have a plan for getting out :D
Did you have to go to the hospital?
nope
Did you have any encounters with the police?
nada
What did you purchase that was over $500?
I bought my haegum
Did you know anybody who got married?
Robbie, though I didn't get to go :(
Did you know anybody who passed away?
Doug... it's still really strange to think about him not being around
Did you move anywhere?
nope, even stayed at my same apartment at school!
What sporting events did you attend?
North vs South Korea soccer game, which was pretty kick ass
What concerts/shows did you go to?
a lot of classical stuff, as usual, plus the Irish festival in Muskegon, which is always a good time
Where do you live now?
Allendale, MI
Describe your birthday:
Went to see the new Indiana Jones movie with my dad, when we came home we found out that the mountains where I was born were on fire and there were a bunch of insane tornadoes hitting the area just north of where I grew up... I spent the rest of the day worrying that some crazy natural disaster was about to happen in MI
What's the one thing you thought you would never do but did in 2008?
um, I went to a mud festival
What has/have been your favorite moment(s)?
all the time I've spent getting to know Katie... the day that we really met, when we spent hours lying under a willow tree in the arboretum talking; our first "date" when we walked around in the ravines together and watched deer; last week when I gave her a Claddagh ring and asked her to marry me, and she said yes <3
What's something you learned about yourself?
That I can't get too wrapped up in my own little world, no matter how wonderful it is
Any new additions to your family?
I have a whole new family! Katie's family is awesome :)
What was your best month?
They all had their ups and downs, seems the more full of wonderful things the month was, the more crappy things tended to happen.
What music will you remember 2008 by?

Who has been your best drinking buddy?
Mandy
Made new friends?
Most certainly! I met Katie this year, and a few really awesome people in Korea; plus, I've gotten a lot closer to some of my good friends that I've had for a couple of years.
Favorite Night[s] out?
There were a few awesome nights in Korea, and Feast was unbelievably awesome this year!
Any regrets?
Taking way too long to get over myself and ask Katie out
What do you want to change in 2009?
Not to let my personal life get in the way of school
Overall, how would you rate this year on a scale of 1- 10?
no idea, this has been my best and my worst year in many ways
What would you change about 2008?
I'd love to be able to start last term over again, there's so many thing I would have done differently... and I wish I'd spent more time with Hannah and Brent, since I don't know how long it will be before I see them again :(

Katie's, and the geek table

My parents got divorced and I got engaged
Get a new job?
lost the little income I had, since my students' families couldn't afford lessons any more... damn economy!

I've never watched American Idol, ever
Did you get sick this year?
I was depressed because of my family stuff, so my immune system was shot and I kept getting weird little colds

Nope
Been snowboarding?

Are you happy to see 2008 go?
Yeah, I need a fresh start from all the crazy!
Drank Starbucks in 2008?
In Korea... iced chai lattes and apricot pumpkin scones were pretty much a staple part of my summer diet

What are you wishing for in 2009?
To make smarter choices, and for Katie to find a good job, hopefully near me, but anywhere will do!
