Yes, well, in any case, when I was about Maria's age, a dear friend of the family made me a marionette as a gift, and it was one of my favorite toys. Perhaps she'd like something like that?

...Yes, well! It's a sort of a doll, except that its limbs are on strings, so one can move it around and make it dance and things. They're really great fun.
