I note with interest that you still didn't translate the barbaric phrase of a title you have there.

I read the book of 300 and was underwhelmed. It does seem like it would make a better movie than book though. You know what comic they should make a movie of? TRANSMET, that's fuckin' what. Except there's probably not an actor in the world could get Spider Jerusalem juust right.

Trent Reznor makes me giggle. Not quite as much as dear Marilyn, but still.

Dear, if you didn't catch it, the title translates into "My Spring Break". Like I said in the following sentence.

O sweet maiden, just like Mother Theresa, which I totally used in my paper to hop up the word count.

What I remember of skimming through the 300 was not entirely amazing. According to a reliable source, the movie is just like how utterly stunning and breathtaking the trailer is. Except the movie does not feature 'Just Like You Imagined'. :(

Transmet? *skeptical eyebrow* Most definitely the politics of the story would be accepted, but I'd be terrified of a director turning Spider into a complete and utter pussy. The actor I'm sure they could find, somewhere.

No fair, that translation was only implied. You didn't even set off "spring break" specifically. I am slow and need things to be explicit. (.... and I'm not even going to start on the implications of that statement)

I mean, Spider being badass (or at least a total ass, hardcore) is the whole point of the story, more or less... I suppose as with all adaptation I think it could be really awesome if it was done competently. But the hardcore asshole misanthropic bastard character is kinda in vogue these days. Cf House, Sawyer of Lost, Frank Miller's cinematic popularity (nice guys just don't seem to come from that brain)... eh eh? It could be done. The thing to worry about really is how pure sci-fi it is and how distasteful that is to Hollywood types ( ... )
